For all those people with great turntables out there - I have just read HMV are having a vinyl week from 13 - 19th. I just discovered you can buy on-line too. For example Adele 21 is £17.99

And how does coloured vinyl sound?

Colored vinyl can sound great, but it's really all down to the mastering. Well-mastered transparent vinyl (something you can see light through) sounds consistently best to me. MFSL vinyl for example. They notably quiet and durable. My only word of warning would be to absolutely avoid picture discs. Any I've had sucked and they are prone to warping.

I have two coloured vinyl LP's. Both which sound fine.

clear vinyl: Rainbow - Down to Earth

Blue vinyl: Hawkwind - Levitation
