New Naim Webpage. Where are the CD Players?

Posted by: Gigantor on 09 June 2016

Hello again,

When visiting the Naim Website tonight.  I noticed the web page has changed, possibly a welcome change.  I am still dreaming of my yet to happen CD5 XS purchase and like to load the pages and dream.  Upon clinking on the default links I was unable to locate a CD player other than the 5si.  After doing a search I found the CD5 XS.  If anyone new visiting the web page for the first time and did not know the model numbers would only find one CD player.  What gives?

The same is true for other components as well.  SuperNait2, CD2 and others.

Are Main dropping their CD players?  Should I rush out, bust the budget and purchase a CD5 XS?

Warm regards,

Paul.

I seriously tried looking at the website... Gave up after one minute. What a load of utter nonse.

3 idiots should be fired from Naim for this:

Idiot no 1: conceived this change

Idiot no 2: designed the website

Idiot no 3: signed the website off

Relatively new to Naim so also new to the website. One thing I have found is that building a Naim system is not quite the same as getting a couple of boxes and plugging in some RCA cables.

The new web layout seems to make it even more confusing. We may become used to it but it doesn't come across as intuitive.

Hi, not been around these parts a while. Decided to have a look at the products page as my euromillions ticket at last has behaved itself...

The website has degenerated (again)! I still see no option for selecting the language of my choice (it is defaulting to French but only certain portions 'actually are' French). This has not been tested at all. Poor show.

Far easier to go to a UK retailer site, download a pricelist .pdf, and use my imagination. The site should have an 'interactive' system builder. Are Naim still selling speakers? I could not tell. I gave up waiting. Are they offering anyone elses?

Please remove the half-baked French language option until it works properly. If you need a hand with the language just ask.

The positives are the graphics are generally good but the menu systems (some duplicated), over-lays and general face to a visitor leave so much to be desired - too much to comment on. It's almost as though the presentation has been driven by the developer's tool-box of features, rather than starting with the potential visitor/customer requirement & experience. Less is more..

This looks a tad better http://www.focal.com/uk/

Richard - hope you will allow this link!

The link to the 'store' above us appears to be broken. Acccesible from naimaudio.com

'Marquee' links lists no 250 but products...amplifiers link has the 250

Why is the NAT05 XS tuner in streaming / multi room???

I suppose it must be multi room if you turn the volume up enough

I just had a look, was thinking you lot were probably making a fuss over nothing but in fact I actually agree with everyone else's comments.

Looks like the website has been designed by someone who knows virtually nothing about the range of Naim products. I'm surprised it was allowed to go live like that. Everything is confusing and in the wrong places in my opinion.
