Please how is the nac 112 different from the Nac 112x

Please could someone tell me how the NAC 112x is an upgrade from the NAC 112. I know that the X version has the 2 RCA outputs on the back unlike the earlier version , but are there any other technical upgrades ..?

I have the NAC 112x  version..With the NAP 150x power amp...Thinking of an audio streamer next as am pretty new to this and am enjoying the Naim sound..Currently using a computer with streaming clients..

All the best and all comments are welcomed..

Hi Garry

It's been a while but I believe the largest upgrade was to the volume pot (most likely other tweaks too). The 112x is much the better for it.

Garry,

Welcome.

Better though the x may be, my first pieces in 2011 were used 112/150X/FC2X.  Won me over to the brand overnight.  Transformed my old KEF Q50s, and revealed what my Planar3/Elys/Fono were capable of.

As my old friend, Hook, advised me back then, "Sit on your wallet!"  The temptations from here will be great; but you are already in a great place.

Enjoy, and good luck.

There were some internal tweaks but the  main change between the NAC112 and NAC112x was the addition to the latter of RCA phono inputs and system automation RC5 and RS232 options. The NAC112x still used a resistor ladder volume control, and for this reason it remained in the line-up even when effectively replaced by the later NAC122x, as the RL control enabled 2-way volume with feedback control which is better for Custom Install systems than the pot used in the NAC122x.

Sorry. Yes, my bad, I was thinking about the 122x and not the 112x.
