Quad 2000 alias aliante one zeta

Hello everyone,

did you have any experience on these speakers in combination with naim gear (or as alternative aliante one hex with external crossover).

I'm thinking to replace my tannoy d500 mkII with one of them.

thanks in advance.

No experience on that?

If you put your system details in your profile it would help. I've never heard of those speakers, and I suspect many others haven't either. Might you be better with something more commonly used with Naim?

Here you are :-)

I wasn't thinking of putting the picture, rather including the details - sorry, I didn't notice that you had listed the system above. I have googled the Quad 2000, which does not appear to exist, and the Aliante seems to get very positive reviews. The only answer is to try them, along with competitors in your budget.

But the first thing I'd do is get a decent rack for your system. Stacking the 252 on a power supply is awful for the sound, and the rack looks inadequate overall. Get this sorted out before getting new speakers would be my advice.

Could you please advice a rack for my needs?

naim fraim is too expensive I think..

In the context of your system, Fraim would be the ideal choice. But if that's too expensive, Fraimlite, Isoblue, Hutter or Quadraspire SVT in bamboo are all good alternatives. You would need two racks side by side. Have a look in the System Pics thread for some ideas.
