Hi everyone

Has anyone used this and what were your experiences?

I'd take the Hydra every time. Works really well with Naim equipment and minimises audiophile neurosis over what order to plug everything in...

Have a block - great piece of kit.

Just to add - a Grahams Hydra, not the Powerblack version. The 4 way plug isn't the best on the CHC made hydra and the Hydra is far better value.

Sean made me a 4-headed Powerblack Hydra a few weeks ago. And a 12 socket Powerblack block. It 's the best money I've spent. And I've spent a lot! Added more body and weight to the sound; bigger soundstage; but still all under focused control. Dealt a blow to some of the brightness issues I'd been plagued with. Very well built and finished; each cable even has an RFI choke as belt and braces. All true star earthed.

Thanks guys.  I'm going to add one to my list of upgrades

Incidentally, I have a balanced mains transformer at the moment, but I think the impedance is constraining the dynamics

I would tend to believe that the hydra, and Graham's for that matter, was a great solution until the Power-Line came out. What the latter brings is beyond all the hydra alternatives except maybe for the Powerigel Plus.
