You'd need a Sonos Connect which would has S/PDIF outputs (both optical and coaxial).

Connect one of these with the appropriate cable to one of the digital inputs on the NDX.

thanks, yes the connect has the outputs. i will have to get another cable i assume either coaxial or optical will do?

i see the naim has the below..which is the most appropriate to use with the Sonos?

thanks

3 x S/PDIF:
   - 1 x coaxial BNC - up to 24bits/192kHz
   - 1 x coaxial RCA - up to 24bits/192kHz
   - 1 x optical TOSLINK - up to 24bits/96kHz

Any will be fine... I personally use the TOSLINK connection between Sonos and NDX

Whatever is handy, to start.  Some people prefer optical, others co-ax into RCA or BNC.

I liked BNC best for the Connect, when I had one.

I bought the fittings, wire, and tools to make my own RCA to BNC.  It compared well to a similar Naim DC-1, in my experience.

To clarify, I tried both the DC-1 and my home-made wire and neither made the Connect sound as good as any of my other digital sources, even when I gave the Connect the advantage of the Naim interconnect.  Squeezebox Touch, Mac Mini, NDX all beat the Connect, to my disappointment.

Pleasantly surprising was how good the home-made interconnect was.
