Direct links to other websites are against forum rules, but if you go to, for example, ebay and type 'usb to mini usb' in the search box, you will see the cable you need.

When you do the update, make sure you read the instructions that come with the firmware download and follow them to the letter. It seems a bit daunting when you do it for the first time, but once you've worked it out, it's actually straightforward.

I think Chris means "type USB-C to USB mini". If you do that in eBay, you do get offers of a suitable cable.

i agree with what he says about following the instructions to the letter.

I don't know where you are, but the other option is to take your Uniti to a Naim dealer and ask them to do it for you.  It takes about 5 mins if you are all set up to do it, so they shouldn't charge too much.

OK I'm a bit dense this morning.  I want to be able to use another Macbook to do my updates.  I downloaded the Silicon Labs USB to UART Bridge drivers for OS X onto this (new) machine.  But when I click on the .dmg file that I've downloaded, nothing appears to happen.  No installer starts to run, and no new files/folders seem to be created.  Am I missing something??

Actually, I think my search works better! And you get one for 99p inc. delivery

Perhaps it's the System Integrity Protection feature of the latest versions of OSX (since El Capitan) I had that problem when I did the last NDX upgrade.

I use the Prolific chipset, and there was detailed advice on their website on how to disable it (and re-enable). It's a faff - involves a boot into recovery and a command line toggle.

(Of course, I might be wrong, but symptoms sound the same - looks like it runs but nothing actually happens)
