More iOS oddities.

Posted by: dave marshall on 16 July 2016

I'm controlling my NDS via iPad, with the latest version of iOS running, and the 552 is  set up with remote to control the volume.

Now, whenever I pause a track on the iPad, it also mutes my 552, which is particularly annoying if I'm listening from somewhere else in the house.

I'm guessing it's tied into the remote setup, but I can't see why it should suddenly have taken it upon itself to start doing this when it was fine up until yesterday.

Any ideas chaps?

If you have the app Settings "Show volume control" and "Bottom bar volume control" both enabled, the mute control is immediately beneath the pause control so perhaps you are inadvertently tapping them both at the same time.

Dave - appart from that - there is nothing connecting those two commands - a different code is for mute and a different one for a pause.

I presume you have tried restarting your NDS, your 552 and the app on your iPad?

Yes the one between the - and the + signs that looks like a speaker cone.

I hope this means you've sorted out the problem.
