DSOTM SACD

Has anyone copied the SACD release of DSOTM and converted it to stereo...

Thus making it a studio rendered 24 bit 96kHz copy?

I have the SACD disc, but don't know how to rip fully and maintain the resolution above 16 bit 44.1kHz.

(Akin to the problem of ripping Brothers in Arms - an HDCD disc that only rips at 16 bit 44.1 kHz.)

You'll need a Sonoma workstation or an early generation Sony Playstation 3 running early firmware to rip the SACD (DSD) layer.  You then must convert the ISO to DSF files for playback.  I've ripped about 350 SACDs using this method. AFAIK there is no other way to properly rip an SACD.

As Mark has indicated, the main issue is extracting the SACD ISO from the disc. If you can do this then it is possible to extract the individual tracks to 24bit 176.4kHz LPCM stereo using the SACD plug-in in Foobar2000.

However, the resulting files may require further editing (notably the PCM files are about 6dB quieter) and they usually suffer from an audible 'click' between tracks.

All in all, conversion to DSF files is preferable using ISO2DSD software.

I have recently ripped my SACD using the Oppo 105 player method (and ISO2DSD) to DSF files - playing through my NDX it sounds great
