TIDAL Service Release for Mu-so and Mu-so Qb Now Available

There is a new firmware service release now available for Mu-so and Mu-so Qb. This update includes improvements to the TIDAL streaming service as well as other fixes which improves the Naim User experience.
The update can be applied using the Naim App for iOS and Android devices. You will receive a notification that the update is available via the 'Rooms' menu of the Naim App today. If you do not see this notification yet and wish to update now simply close the app – making sure it has fully shut down on the device – and then restart it.

We recommend that all customers update to the latest version of firmware (Version 1.5.00) to benefit from the improvements and bug fixes listed in full below.

Firmware Version 1.5.00 Release Information
- Improved: TIDAL service – amended the TCP window to accommodate for different TIDAL server behaviours.
- Fixed: TIDAL account passwords that contain a percent sign ‘%’ now compatible.
- Improved: New Airplay library.
- Fixed: Network audio stream could intermittently stop if the Netflix iOS App was used simultaneously.
- Fixed: Audio dropout during track transition on some ALAC files.
- New: USB Error states and handling. When an incompatible USB device is connected the input LED will flash steadily. If a USB hub is connected the input LED will flash quickly.
- Fixed: TIDAL Premium accounts didn’t work unless streaming quality was manually set to ‘High’. This is now automatically changed for the user.
- Fixed: TIDAL could dropout on current playing track if a Seek2Time operation was made.
- Fixed: Logo lighting remains on user setting after a firmware update.
- Fixed: French Station FIP 105.1FM was taking a long time to buffer to play – now buffers and plays.
- Fixed: Mu-so will awaken from standby if playback is resumed with an Apple device whilst still connected via USB.
- Fixed: Audio playback is now paused on Apple device when a Mu-so wireless music system is placed into standby.
- Fixed: Apple Device audio playback via USB does not dropout whilst Mu-so is wirelessly connected to the network.
- Fixed: WAC and Wi-Fi key share is now successful if details contain accented characters.
- Fixed: Mu-so network LED correctly shows solid purple if incorrect Wi-Fi details are transferred.
