if you could rename a Naim product...?

I've played with many Naim systems with XPS2s (and have owned two, and still have a DR version) but I've only had one occasion where the fuse has blown - and I'm pretty sure that was down to the person who had earlier installed it had not properly pushed home the Powerline into the IEC socket. Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but just saying....

The SuperLine (sans cap plug) could have been called the SuperNAT.

After the noise my 250.2 was making this afternoon can I propose a change to '250.2 Hummer' or '250.2 Humbug'.  Another very appropriate name when it's buzzing away like that would be '250.2 Tinnitus' because it's damned annoying and you can't get rid of it......

Thankfully it was much quieter later this evening so all is forgiven......until the next time........

At the same time you don't wish to exercise such political correctness that even some numbers are forbidden...the most pervasive being anything that is Series 4..... This first was apparent to me way back with the Infinity IRS Reference iii went to the IRS Reference 5......Wilson Watt3 went to the Wilson Watt 5, Nait 3 went to the Nait 5, NAT03 to NAT05 etc etc. Thank Dionysus that Quad retained sanity with not only a full 4-series but also a model 666. 

Then again, the Schiit series of headphone amps seem to be quite good sellers. 

The Naim Naimuniti always annoyed me - why include the company name in the product name?

simple, speakers that "disappear",shall be called naimless  . not sure which model people would choose,however.Lots of fun when telling people what your system consists of. "well I have naimless speakers"- and they would ask- well who made them

The best named hi-fi of all time was gas (great american sound) -ampzilla,son of ampzilla and of course (from star-kist fame) charlie the "tuner"
