Howdo.

Hello all.

I just thought I'd come in and say hello after signing up - my apologies if this is not the place to do it, but I don't see an introductions section anywhere.

Anyway, I've just purchased a Unitiqute 2 which is my first ever piece of Naim kit and I have to say that I'm extremely impressed with it - the digital bug has finally bitten! I'm using it primarily as a digital source, coupled with a Roksan Caspian M2 in PA only mode and a pair of ProAC D20/R speakers. There's also a Rega Planar 3/Ortofon Bronze/CA 640P in the mix, as I'm another one of those 'freaks' with a fairly large vinyl collection. The Qute is happily streaming from a Qnap, running Minimserver.

Cheers,

Pete.

I second Nigel's words. Very wise. As they say - hindsight is a wonderful thing

I have also received some trully wonderful advice from fellow forum members (thank you!) which made some of the upgrades even more enjoyable.

Flippin' Hotel California tune keeps playing in my head.

I'm off to play Hotel California - 192 kHZ / 24 bit re-master....

You two are a bad influence already, I've just purchased my first 24/192 digital download of that very album as I was having the same problem with 'ear worms' ...

Sorry about the appalling quoting by the way, but I don't seem to have an option to quote posts - does this functionality come with age?

Functionalities usually decrease with age, requiring extra effort to get them working. As for quoting, it's a bit buggy in this recent iteration of the forum. You can do multiple 'Reply with quotes' and they'll appear in the same post.

As an aside, seven posts in two days... well on your way to major expenditure

Just take the time to enjoy every step !

Welcome to the forum*
