Collateral damage

Here's a cautionary tale.

I went in Grahams today, innocently taking my NAP 250.2 for its DR upgrade.

I walked out with a Muso QB.

Yikes, it's rather good...

What you swapped the 250??!!

Posted on: 05 August 2016 by nickpeacock

Nah, course not - but I needed something for my bedroom and the Muso qb is on main room duty pending getting my NAP back!

Posted on: 05 August 2016 by The Strat (Fender)

I was joking but similarly I'm thinking of getting one for the study.

The Naim Sound !

Look I'm on this Forum because Linn stop servicing there LK 280s and Karin, etc......

Hence, if one wants to go Active, its Linn, or Naim, always heard how The Naim Sound had the Prat, so I tried the 250s,.  Richer Thicker sound, than the 280s, but Linns amps were a Tad quieter.

Oh, to the point, Buying Second hand, and living in the USA, I had to cross to border to demo an CD5XS, and took my 282, and HCDR, and Nap 200  with me to make sure all was well. The Owner really enjoyed my gear through some Dynamo C!s I think, didn't sound bad. But, had me listen to the Muso, at the time.

He asked me, what did I think, Of Course I responded, not bad, but in the back of my mind, this garbage, a onkyo receiver and some cheap Klipsch would could Kill this junk!

Well, is the Muso QB, an improvement over the Muso. And whats the difference?

It's not as wide, it's taller and it's more, well, cube-like. Other than that, not having heard a Muso, I can't say...

(Can't hazard a guess about onkyo's et al, but my DR'd NAP 250 - when I get it back - ought to wipe the floor with it...)

Have to disagree - my garage system is an Onkyo DAB+ 555 into a pair of Q Acoustics 2020i. Pleasant background sound, but can't hold a candle to the Muso. I'm sure your use of the terms 'garbage' and 'junk' were just you being mischievous??

Perhaps, my choice of words was harsh, especially if someone owns Onkyo.

I just threw that out there, because on visiting my Neighbor while watching Sporting events, I'm exposed to his System. And once again, IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD, wow not bad, for a guy who would never post on a Forum, in his next life!

But, in context of the post, the OP just posted his Muso Q on System pics. It looks very nice holding down the fort, until the 250 returns from upgrade. That's right Office, 2nd, or perhaps 3rd System.

No offense intended, against YOUR garbage System!

Now, My Garbage System:

Emotiva UMC1/Arcam P3/ Klipsch, may be the culprit, for the Mischievous, choice of words.

Apologies, to your Garbage System! LOL...

Main System: Cdx2/282/Tri-amped Briks

2nd System: Emotiva dac 1/Primare Pre-30/Arcam P1 Mono Blocks/ Vienna Acoustics Baby Grands.

Now, my garbage System will eat that Muso alive LOL......

We bought a Qb this week. It's amazing how much believable music you can get out of something so small. Not cheap but worth it.

@Allante93 - Not my system pic I'm afraid...!

Might post a pic when the 250DR comes back...

No, I don't think so!

In fact, I'm the looser, coming off as an my Systems are bodacious. When really, it's all about shared experiences.

My Mother always told me, it's not what you say, but how you say it!

I'm a work in Progress.

 Thanks for pointing that out!

Enjoy your MUSIC!

In life, it's really not about how one views himself, rather, how one is viewed, by others.

I love this Forum, my vocabulary is increasing, and self improvement!

Thanks Timmo!

My mistake, mixed it up with your post.

"I've just done exactly the same, Anders - my 250 will be ready when I get back from holiday and in the meantime I'm enjoying the Muso QB...! ""

Nice, the way the gentleman placed the Cube on his Fraim!

I know, you will be counting the days!

Please keep us informed!

'Please keep us informed!'

Will do, but it'll be three weeks, the other side of a trip to Italy with the kids!

Incidentally, the Naim app seems a little more, well, skittish (glitchy) since the Muso Qb arrived. Not particularly problematic, killing it and restarting cures it. No drop-outs, happily. Perhaps an iOS issue rather than Naim...
