New Audiophile Music List
Posted by: Arun Mehan on 07 August 2016
Hello,
Saw this new list just the other day. I have a few of them and agree with those but not sure about all of them. I know there have many of these types of lists but I'm curious as to what people here think of some of these choices.

I'm actually surprised that I have quite a few of the albums that are listed...But I have never considered them as "essential" though...
Interesting collection, have quite a few of the albums but there are some I would never purchase. I do not think I would consider the majority of the titles as "essential" either.
8 from 32 in my collection.

Have 8. None of them I would call audiophile.......... Very good, yes, but not audiophile.
I wouldn't take it too seriously. A few blokes got together and,for a laugh, decided o create a list with their favourite albums and labelled them audiophile. Who takes Stuff seriously anyway? The "contributors" also seem to have lists for top ten beers, TVs and digital watches among others.
5/32 in my collection.
I don't take lists too seriously, just to find things I don't have, listen to them and include them in my collection if I like them.
Last time I have found more interesting artists and albums listening to what is published in these forums.
I've got 24 of them. Bought as i liked the music rather than any audiophile (?) criteria they may (or may not in some cases) have.
18 for me. Several bought out of interest but rarely played.
14/32 for me.
I had no idea these were "audiophile", but any list which contains MBV's 'Loveless' is by definition (see what I did there) a very fine list indeed.
I have 17 but not many get repeated plays. Too many Lp's not enough time I guess!
16 of them in my collection. I certainly wouldn't describe them as "audiophile". Whatever that means.
I have 12, perhaps 3 get played regularly .
Not sure why the "audiophile" handle though.
16-32 for me.Not sure what the audiophile label is for though.I always equate audiophile recordings as the anaemic tosh you here at HiFi shows,Jazz at the Pawn Shop that sort of thing.
25 out of 32 great albums/artists but a bit clichéd. Miles Davis Kind of Blue yer but try Miles' A Tribute to Jack Johnson that will get your system going!
So silly me for thinking that MBVs Loveless' was my best Lofi album then.
