UnitiLite to pair with which speakers in a big room?

Hi folks...

Forgive me if I'm re-revisiting a well worn topic. I have searched the threads and found a few relating to this but the requirements were a little different in those cases. I have listened to the UnitiLite and loved it. My issue is that I could do with some suggestions for speakers to pair it with; and the complication is that, unlike the other posts I've seen, the room I have is fairly big (around 8x6 metres) and I fear that anything less than something pretty weighty isn't going to cut it. I listened to the Uniti with a pair of PMC 23s and was really impressed but the low end was already a touch modest, even in the diminutive dimensions of the listening room. Suggestions would be most welcome. I'm also trying to stick to a £4k budget (including the UnitiLite) if at all possible.

Many thanks in advance

Why not the Unity (or SU) and s/h speakers to stay within budget, the UL is really lite, personally I prefer the UQ/Rega Apollo but that is in a small room

Older Rega, Ruark, Castle, Monitor Audio, Magnepan, Linn Keilidh amo spring to mind as cheap solution floorstanders for large room, sure others will ad to list

There is great savings even bargains out there, buying pre-loved loudspeakers of yesterday, performance not neccesary worse, just look at the SBL

Not fashionable around these parts, but I had UL with B&W 683S2 and the combination easily filled my similarly sized room (around 8 x7m) with rich sound and very decent bass.  UL drove these speakers no problem.  List for these speakers is £1150 but I picked up mine ex demo for £700.  Might be worth a look.

Since upgraded to SU (also ex demo) - the total cost including these speakers ~ £3500.  Great vfm.

I've had them firing both across the room (below) & down the longer length.

The PMC Twenty.23s are a big ask for the UL to drive them well at higher volume (i.e. to fill a larger room).  You'd probably get a better result from a U2 and simpler speakers - that'll be a a better balanced combination.

A s/h SU would be even better (plus they are very reliable as they have Naim's design/build quality and there are no moving parts).
