Uniti qute upgrade
Posted by: Nickalexander0703 on 11 July 2011
Hi I have been trying to figure out which is the best power amp to use to upgrade the power output of the qute. All the power amps seem to only have din inputs, but the qute has RCA outputs. Is using somekind of adaptor ok or is it better just to plunge for the full size uniti? Thanks again- nick

your Naim dealer will have some suitable RCA-DIN cables for sure. Just check by yourself which is the best one for you.

Any Naim power amp will work fine with the right cable. Naim can supply these, as can other vendors like Chord.
The popular choice (at least from the posters on this forum) would seem to be the NAP200.

I just bought a NAP 250-2 to use with my Qute. I jury-rigged a 2xRCA to XLR cable (needed for the 250) while Transparent Cable fashions a proper one for me. Naim can also provide the cable you need for a Naim power amp.
Adding the amp has completely transformed the Qute. All I can say is wow, wow, wow!!!

Thanks for all your replies. Compared to a dealer's opinion, the comments of people who have had real experience with the products are really invaluable, thanks again.
