Car tuning

Recently spotted in the Tewkesbury area of Gloucestershire - Mercedes (I think) car bearing reg plate LP12 ARO.
It did, I must say, sound well-tuned.
It's a four cylinder diesel, so it sounded horrible.

Doesn't George/Fredrik/etc live in the Tewkesbury area ?
Careful...................Mrs D's car is a C220 Cdi and it sounds sweet as a bird.
Interesting. I was passed by MUS 1C on the M4 near Chepstow a couple of months ago. Another big Merc. Could they be related ? I did try a web search but couldn't find out who's it was.
A few years ago, along The Embankment through Chelsea, was a property with two cars in the drive. ISTR they were a Range Rover and a Jaguar, but I might be mistaken in that recollection. However, IIRC their number plates were :-
"2B" and "NOT 2B"

We've a C250 CDi, and it's definitely an agricultural thing, especially when compared to even a cheap petrol engine.
2B is now on a black BMW 728i, and NOT 2B is on a black Range Rover.

They must have swapped their Jag for a BMW...............
......or it might have been a BMW and my memory is fading........
A near neighbour of mine who used to take in and look after injured Owls before releasing them had OWL 2 IT on his van.
Sadly he passed away a few years ago and the plate is now on a Lexus ( I think ) as the owner supports Sheffield Wednesday.
It's on a 12 year old Lexus is200.
Hmm.

Yeah. I've got a C220CDI and while economical the engine gets noisy and rough above 2k rpm. It's not a patch on my old E-class which had the 3.0V6 diesel. That was a peach and loved to be reved.
Thankfully the stoopid 370ft.lb of torque at silly low revs saves the day with ours.
