Naim Superuniti or Uniti 2?

Hi,

Since my last post, I've narrowed the field to the Superuniti and the Uniti 2. I would like to hear your comments on the key differences between the two units (ignoring the CD player)  and whether the Super is worth the additional price.

Thanks

David, Good point. In my situation the sub will need to be off to one side.

Will this work for one sub?

I think it should do, but anyway it would be worth trying before buying two. In fact trying before you buy one is probably also a good plan!

My sub is off to one side but the imaging is better than without and  with no sense that the lower frequencies are misplaced. According to the comprehensive instructions that came with mine, very low frequencies are non directional and this is borne out by my experience.

With my N-Sats I set the sub to mostly come in below 70hz - there is some subtle reinforcement above that. Careful set up in the room is crucial. With my Velodyne I am able to place a microphone at the listening position and view a real time frequency response on my tv. This got things in the ball park and then fine adjustments over time has finished the job.
