Is this Vol-Bal position possible? Or is it just broken?

Hi everyone

…no picture… well, I'll describe it: both the volume and balance knob on a NAC52 are looking straight down (6 o'clock position).

Is this position possible? Or is it just broken (and thus a "good reason" to make a POTS8-Upgrade)?

Thanks and kind regards

It's a good reason. 6 o'clock is not a natural position for a Naim knob as I recall. Question is, how did they get there?

Little kids ?? My son often  twisted  the volume knob of my NAC72 too far. The dealer used to smile whenever I came through the door and would wink and say "Again ?"........

An easy fix. But I always left it to my trusty dealer.

Sounds like the knobs may have been twisted around on their splines.  Untwisting should be done carefully.  It'll be a cover-off job to see which way they have been twisted.  This is important as the led cables are cerfully dressed around the pot axles.  If in doubt, take it to your dealer.

Thanks for all replies!

Actually it's a s/h item with pictures as described. Could be an argument to debate the price.

I had the same on a second-hand 282. I just pulled the knobs off and fitted them correctly. Took 1 minute.
