Sbl and active mode

Posted by: Naimark on 28 August 2016

Hello everyone,

I have just bought a pair of sbl and I'm wondering the best way to go in active mode.

To save money I'm thinking to buy a naxo/snaxo and hicap (both olive) and then a second power amplifier (nap 200?).

Any advice on the following issues?

1) naxo or snaxo 2-4

2) nap 200 or the same power amplifier I own (nap 250.2)?

3) Others (cables...)?

Thanks in advance.

Wot Richard said. Definitely go for a 242 if you can, it's streets ahead of a NAXO.

That's why I suggested, Fraim, or Fraim lite, it allows you to add shelves.

Good thing you haven't purchased the Snaxo 2-4!

In fact I'm considering to buy snaxo 2-4 and hicap olive... but my commercial account in Italy suggests it for beginning my act

The costs really add up on the Active Trail!! .......a secondhand 500 is a very economical solution - as the Yanks should say, more bang for the Euro.
