B&W 803 D3

hi all,

i am in process of auditioning new speakers. Based on forum posts, 803 d3 receives a lot of positive comments and also seems to be right match to 300dr in terms of amplification. I like the kudos a lot but in my now larger living room lack scale, bass punch and ability to fill the room better than the small s20s

i cannot demo at a dealer with naim gear, so before asking for a homedemo, would appreciate, if anyone could share thoughts on the 803 d3 house sound and contrasting eg to kudos.

On positioning I dont have a lot of freedom, they would fire down a 5x8 meter room with 3,5 meters to the ceiling. Circa 2 meters between them and quite close to the wall - maybe 20-30cm to the backwall. Would this at all work or do they need to have more space around them in any setting

I struggle to find alternative speakers that wife will approve eg vivid, titans

Silver Deco 20's would be £48k Lars, not sure what they would be in Denmark.

They are stunning though

The Deco's were replaced by the Alnico's Nigel. Although there are versions of the Deco's back at ART which may be available.

That's a shame, as the Decos are lovely.
