Venue Ticket Sellers

Hi,

Just though I would share this experience. This morning my Wife was looking for some Andre Rieu tickets for December at the Wembly SSE Arena. Viagogo came up on a search so She started the booking process. Tickets for section C3 were £133 each, seemed a bit steep but ok, go for it. Then came the payment page and OMG where did those extra charges come from? We are now up to a total of £459!! And for this we only know that we will get seats in that section.

I go the the Wembly website directly, find tickets in the same section and also the seat numbers, Booked via ASX one of their partners I think for a total of £273.

That is the travel, a nice meal and more covered by a couple of minuets work. Shows that a Google search for tickets may not take you to the best deal.

All the best, Simon.

Yep. The re-selling sites often allow you to get good seats, but at a (sometimes very steep) price. It is ALWAYS worth checking the original venue sites, though. As you discovered, sometimes not all the seats have been snaffled and good seats are available at face value.

Google isn't your friend. The re-selling sites have very good search engine optimisation and trick their way to the top. Fraudulent sites can sometimes  manage the same trick. It's a jungle out there.....
