I just spotted this new release on Amazon due on November 11

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Early...rs+1965-1972+box+set

It  includes lots of demo versions and soundtrack versions but it' not really clear whether is a totally official release.

I keep looking at this on Amazon. I know I shouldn't: it's too expensive, I should live long enough to play it all more than once etc. etc.

On the other hand: early Floyd were exceptional, and I mean truly exceptional in that the first album might as well have come from Outer Space it was so ground-breaking (the subsequent ones up to and including WYWH weren't too dusty either). They made a host of unique sounds that this release seems to liberate for the first time in a quality nothing else would appear to compete with.

Sigh.

No-one can live forever. You can;t take it with you. I'm falling - only Kevin-W can persuade me to keep my cash

Absolutely agree with you Gary,

If you have some spare cash it, i' d even take 2 copies. One to use the other for archive, and eventaully sell it at a later  stage.

For the record in 2011 i bought The Smiths "Complete" box set and sold it last year at more than double its original price
