It's Me !

Just in case anybody else has a copy of today's Daily Express and has read Jennifer Selway's column on Page 13................
And if you don't have a print copy, it's online as well.
Don, perhaps a new signature for you? "laid-back-but-awfully-reassuring"
What? No beard and no 3in thick reading glasses? Looking good, Don. Great article.
Cool...
What did you think of the pilots flying into the eye of hurricane Matthew? Looked incredibly dangerous to me.

Good stuff Don, although I have my suspicions that it's a stock photo and not Don...

LOL The fact that it's an 'American' plane, with American flag on the tail, and it's sunny, I had my doubts it was at an air strip in Hampshire.... nothing to do with dashing flight instructors that don't match their Flickr photos Don !

I tried to find that website to view the article ... but apparently the Daily Express is inappropriate reading material here :-)
In seriousness ... nice to get a bit of recognition for your skills and experience Don!

(Fortunately) There weren't any pictures in the printed version. Why they chose to add library photos on-line I don't know. As you can easily see from my Flickr photos (I think there are only two) , i'm incredibly photogenic ......................
If we're talking forum members in the press, I was in the Telegraph the other day.
I wish my folks had lived long enough to see that...

Nice one Rod, well done you. What a dreadful job you have, you must stuggle to get out of bed in the morning.
You appear to have forgotten my previous kind offer to help you with any expensive wine you wish a second opinion on, a sort of "ordinary bloke on the street" assessment. Or cheaper wine...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about Rod, especially as I sit here about to heave for a job I absolutely despise any more...although I was a bit disappointed to find out he wasn't a German Shepherd.
Don, please share your diet plan - I'd like to be as svelte as you are!
Nice job both of you!
Nice write-up Rod.
23rd Oct: Paris. Then 10 days of cruising/drinking/eating. Tough job. Probably tougher than mine !
As Tony says above, must be hard to get out of bed in the morning...............
Enjoy. (as kenc would say)
I can't seem to locate the Express article Don. I don't suppose you have a direct link to it please?

Jennifer Selway - Golly, I’ve just flown a plane
Thanks Tony, I did not think to do that! Another Forum member attains fame.

I have a recollection that either Kevin or Jammie was in the press a couple of years ago in connection with a photograph that became part of the CountryFile Calendar (or was it the Calendar Girls).

Thanks Tony & Tony. I didn't post a link because I wasn't sure about the Forum Rules.
Hopefully others will post details of their "press cuttings"...............unless it's along the lines of "a man is helping police with their enquiries !"
I'd like to add that my photo was in the local Craven Herald paper last week, my team winning our League Cricket title in the last match of the season. Local circulation about 400 plus a few sheep....
This is the apogee of my sporting fame to date
Bruce
A photo or it didn"t happen Bruce!
