It's Me !

Just in case anybody else has a copy of today's Daily Express and has read Jennifer Selway's column on Page 13................
Don Atkinson posted:Great to "meet" you Graeme !
You certainly succeeded in blending the house into the agricultural setting !
And the interior was superb - beautiful. desirable.
I also recorded it so will watch again with a critical eye !!!!
Hi Graeme, I've watched it again and am reassured of my first impressions. Brilliant piece of architecture and interior design, set against some very convincing and credible opposition !
I was unsure whether Kevin McCloud pronounced your name correctly. To me, it sounded more like "Sutton" than "Hutton". It occurs just before the interview.

Many thanks Don. Yes, Kev made the mistake...my deaf Aunty watched with subtitles and they spell it correctly!

I got round to watching you last night Graeme. Wow, that's a wonderful bit of work! I often watch Grand Designs and I'm always staggered by the effort and ingenuity you folks put into the homes. Kevin is an excellent presenter and seems like a straight-up sort of guy. Congratulations on a beautiful job.
Thanks Tony - Wonderful clients help enormously.
Kevin is much the same on screen & off. I know some folks find him a bit smug but TV does have a propensity to exaggerate that facet for 'entertainment' purposes. 'Straight-up' is about right imho.

Finally watched this last night. Excellent work Graeme. Beautiful inside and out. Just a shame that they didn't seem to spend as much time here as on some of the others as i'd have liked to see more of it. As Tony commented, some real amazing ingenuity in the work shown.

Many thanks James. Big spread in Grand Designs magazine this month (Dec edition) if you are interested.
