Cue sheets don't always load playlist...

Posted by: blownaway on 18 October 2016

Most of my collection of music play with m3u or CUE files from my cd rips just fine.

However, some don't load using BdpowerAmp ripping software and minimserver.   I'm missing the list of songs and only show individual songs.

This problem only happens when I try to rip music data from my homemade discs (with sometimes incompatible metadata).

I've tried making a new Cue file using foobar to no avail.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

I would use a free Cue file splitter and split the files out to individual files.  This will provide better compatibility with DBPoweramp/Minimserver etc.

As far as i am aware cue files are not supported in minimserver however m3u files are supported to create playlists.

As suggested by TD i would use a cue file splitter program to add the metadata that's missing from each individual song title, as at the moment it sounds like this data is only in the cue/m3u file.

As you already have Foobar, you can queue up the cue file and use Foobar's convert function to split the combined audio file into individual tracks.

I agree with SJBABBEY, foobar will allow you to merge the track data from the cue/m3u file into the individual tracks metadata. You then don't need a cue/m3u file for minimserver to identify the track details.
