PowerLine Lite
Posted by: Pauleb on 20 October 2016
It would appear the PowerLine Lite is now available although I'm surprised to see the conductors are 0.75mm which strikes me as somewhat light?
Isn't that the same size conductors as the standard mains cable?
I think your right.
I was anticipating something between the PowerLine and the standard cable.
I can't find it available anywhere so I can't find details or pics. I guess it has the same style powerline plugs?
It's on the Stone Audio twitter feed
Thanks I'll take a look
Well it does look like a lite version of the powerline 13A plug and the standard mains cable with standard iec.
Oh dear, bog standard 0.75mm with moulded IEC, except for the Naim looking 13 amp plug its very much like a standard issue Naim cable .............. but I expect they will get snapped up
But I'm sure tea will taste better when the water is boiled in a kettle employing a PowerLine Lite mains cable

It's an indisputable fact with the regular powerline... I've read it somewhere on the forum.
I've just had some Earl Grey from a Statement mug.
Maybe the lite is for de caf?

I believe they are being supplied 'free' with the equipment though, so it has to be a positive surely.

Maybe they'll make a figure 8 version for the Qb
That's a thought. I use an AudioQuest NRG cable on mine.
Nice improvement over the standard cable?

Yes its positive with the Naim 13a plug included in the kit, but a far east moulded IEC on 0.75mm PVC is disappointing.

A little better. It only cost me twenty quid instead of the full price which was two or three times that. The Qb has a posh ethernet cable too, but only because it was going spare. One must treat one's Qb nicely.
I haven't got into streaming properly yet. Spotify on the iPhone is about it. But I do like the Qb. I have my eye on a corner in the kitchen for one.

After 5 weeks without coffee I am of the opinion that tea cannot be bettered by any device unfortunately. It is close to garbage in garbage out.
So what's so special about it then? I thought the iec was the special part of the powerline but this thing is just a normal standard mains cable with a fancy looking mains plug.
The world has gone mad £100 for the powerline lite !!! It looks like a standard IEC lead with a fancy £10 plug top.....
I've had enough problems explaining daft cable prices to Mrs DayJay in the past but at least they looked expensive. If I paid £100 and brought that home I suspect she'd divorce me, or make me listen to Whitesnake, whichever is worse.
Maybe it should of cost £35 and not £100.
Looks like a bit of a con to me for 100 quid!!
