new set up

Due to a recent K9 mishap that could not possibly been my fault.I have had to lay to rest my naim cd player and Amp.I am now looking to buy again.could I have some help in what I should purchase please.I still have a Flatcap and NAP 250 along with my Audiovector Mi3's.I listen mostly to vinyl on a Project carbon but would not mind getting back into some cd's again.will only have about £3000 to spend.

Sell the flatcap and get a N272. At some stage later on get an XPS.

Simon, Please confirm what you have now after K9 incident. It looks like record player (no cart), FC (which?), NAP250 (which?) and your Audiovectors. Is there any more, such as preamp, phonostage, speaker wires etc?

Time to move into the 21st century & move on from CD's,  a whole new world of streaming & Hi-Res audio is waiting.  You already have a 250,  all it needs is a 272 & NAS.   Sell everything else to help the funds.

You can of course do like me and end up with NDS + 555PS and CDX2 and 252.... and... and... and... lost count...ooops what was it that I was saying?

Sorry Christopher.FC 1 and NAP250 my record player is a project carbon with ortofon blue,NAC A5 speaker cable.nothing else left.

Ok, Best used pre you can find such as NAC282, a used Stageline N and a used CDX2. Job done and it's not yet 9.45pm. (But you might need to lob in your Christmas money too).

If it's only realy to play back CDs, this is a very sensible advice from Chris. You can use your FlatCap to power the 282 for now. HiCap would be better I think, but this will suffice for now.

it will be mainly used for vinyl.might try and plug spotify in there too from my mac if thats possible

cd as an afterthought to be honest as one of damaged items was cd player
