streaming itunes with Asset

Posted by: zombywoof on 29 October 2016

hi, can anyone help with my imac. itunes issue

i am using Asset as the UPNP with my unitilite light 2 and after reading another thread i purchased the Export Playlist app, set that up as instructed and the export playlist app shows that its has grabbed the itunes library

The Asset has the Export Playlist added but going through the Naim app none of the library appears.

Is it a case that Asset doesn't work with ITUNES

thanks

Asset simply reads the music files stored on your computer (or NAS) and presents them as playable files. Therefore, as far as I know, your iTunes library, on your computer, will work with Asset.
As I've never used playlists, I don't know about exporting them.

Have you actually "pointed" Asset at the folder where your iTunes library is stored on your computer?
I'm not currently with my NAS which has Asset installed, so I can't have a look to see how it's configured, nor can I recall how to configure it off hand.

If you point Asset at the folder where you keep your music, it should be able to see it. This has nothing to do with iTunes, even if you have used iTunes to rip, download or play this music in the past. Just point Asset at the folder, and you should be in business.
