hi all, i will be selling my trusted s20s soon, and a friend is interested. As he has no stereo now (moving back from asia), question is what would a minimum good amplification be for him. Dont want him to pick up the speakers and then waste the investment.
Would sn2 be a good partner, or is s20 too revealing and needs better system? I got them w 282/sc2/250.2 which was amazing, but he is not into spending that kind of money
thanks Lars

Hi -
I know it's not quite the same as S20/SN, but I'm newly running S10's (purchased last month, yay) from a SuperUniti and it is an incredibly pleasing upgrade from the Tannoy Precision 6.2's I've been enjoying for the past three(ish?) years. I have no idea which haircut or fish or other term might apply... but to me it is a whole different league and well worth the (used) price I paid. I say this since your friend might well benefit from a good deal as you turn your system over, and that is a nice place from which to launch.
Regards alan

I used a 282/200 with C20's and it was very successful. The 250dr that I now use is even better of course.
Having just changed from C20's to S20's the similarities are clear to see (hear), so do consider a 202/200 as an option.

Lars, I am a happy owner of SN2 since more than two years and did change from Kudos S10 to S20 last year, since the new room did require floorstander. I did not compare S20 with other systems, so cannot comment on this. Changes have been done on the digital front-end this year; I have to say, SN2/S20 works very fine for me.
