DAC-V1 keeps muting itself

Hi, 

My V1 appears to have developed a mind of it's own, muting and unmuting continually.

Any other owners had a similar issue?

(I've tried rebooting it and also forcing the firmware to reload, which it deals successfully)

i guess it's going to be a visit to the dealer, let's hope they have a demo unit to load

I assume you have taken the remote out of the picture, by removing it from the room, or taking out its batteries?  I had a defective V1 remote that started issuing random commands--it needed to be replaced.

I haven't, actually never used the remote, but it is in the room so I will definitely try that..

Gee, if you've never used the remote, how do you get to the Setup menu?  That is where you check the firmware and so on.

i had same problem, just search on forum about faulty logo, it's easy for dealer to change it.

Sorry, should have said, Dont use the remote as I control JRiver by iPad app or by Sonos app via a Connect into coax digital, but as you say, I did / do use the Naim remote when setting up and when updating the firmware.

Anyway your advice seem to have worked as it is playing fine this morning- thanks I was tearing my hair out!
