Sonore (yes...the hugo of streaming ;-) ) plans to use roon with upnp devices....they will act like a proxy receiving data from roon server, acting like a roon "endpoint" and translate this to upnp. Here is what they say in the room forum:

This service allow you to "Roonify" your DLNA/UPNP devices. This allows you to use Roon or Roon / Tidal to stream to DLNA/UPNP devices.

AVAILABILITY
Coming soon - You will be able to install and uninstall the service from the unit's Software Manager

Yes, but it does involve a further device in the chain between Roon Core and the Naim player.

Plus given that Roon is build as a Push technology from Core to Endpoint, where UPnP is a Request/Serve model, not sure how this going to work, plus at present what is the advantage?

Now if there was MQA playback on the Roon Endpoint, with a software based decoding of the MQA format, with a UPnP integration to an existing Network Player, that could be interesting.
