hi all.

Jusy gotten home to find we've been burgled. My beloved system has gone. They've taken my 282, 250.2, NDX, Hicap 2, Gyro SE, RB300, 2m black, iMac new Sony TV (bought Tuesday!) and my partners jewlery. Taken from the Selly Oak / Bournville area between 6 and 8pm tonight. Please can I ask you to keep your eyes open for this kit being offered for silly prices.

Many thanks.

CM,

very sorry to hear about your burglary.  Do you know the serial numbers of the Naim kit?  You can post them on here and if you let Steve Hopkins at Naim know then he can put them in the stolen database - that way when anyone checks on the numbers they will flag up.  At the very least it will help anyone else from unwittingly buying stolen goods.

Thanks Richard. May be a day or so until I can get them posted. Still in shock.

Wow  very sorry to hear that, ba$7ards.

Did you put out your tv box for bin collection.

My heartfelt thoughts are with you buddy.

Richard's suggestion posting the SNs here  is a great one. I guess the sort of person buying Naim even very cheaply is most likely going to be deterred buying stolen equipment - its hardly motorway service station back of van type of product.

My sympathies are with you...

Very sorry to hear your news. It could have happened to any one of us. You have our commiserations and the full Naim sorority/fraternity behind you.

This makes me absolutely sickened, gutted & angry.   But I'm even more sorry for you & your partner, I've never had the misfortune myself,  but I know a few who have & I realise its not just the lost possessions.

Wow, that's only a couple of miles from me.  Hope the insurance covers it & everything is back to normal soon.  Will keep an eye out on hifishark, ebay etc.

Wow, what a nightmare. I hope your insurance covers the financial loss and that you and your partner come through the trauma and emerge stronger than before.

Let's hope the cowardly ba$7ards who did this get caught.

Terrible news - I hope you get sorted ASAP and the thieving scum get nicked.
I own a BVT house in Selly Oak  just off the Bristol Road - I'll let my tenant know so he can be extra vigilant.

As a Brummie who lived in Cotteridge for 10 years that's pretty close to home for me. Gutted for you Cheekymonkey71, hope they find the lowlife that did this.

Hi all. After a night long vigal waiting for the lock smith this morning we feel empty. The police think they were opportunists which I kind of agree with. They cut through the snaics, ripped the napsc out of the 282 and left the napsc behind, left the Power supplies for the gyro and era gold behind, took our new 55" 4K Sony tv (only arrived Tuesday, I loaded the box into the car and took it to the tip on Wednesday so I don't think anybody saw a box etc.) took my partners rings and her daughters christening cross, took our iMac, my Garmin, a Bluetooth speaker and some face cream! They must have damaged the back of the 282 and the din socket on one of the remaing cables was bent with the force of it being ripped out, so it might turn up back at the factory for repair.

My sympathies to you and yours its the sort of crime that is both sickening and anger inducing in equal measure and as Mike-M mentions above it not just about the theft of the possessions. I hope your insurance company comes good and makes it as easy as possible for you all.

Bloody annoying - such a violation of privacy.

Trying to be positive - at least you were not there and no injuries happened. Equipment can be replaced. Health is more precious.

Look at it this way - once the insurance is sorted, you can audition all the latest Naim boxes

Very sorry to hear this hope everything is insured but regardless it is an awful intrusion into your private lives not to mention the loss of loved and valuable items

I had a laptop stolen a few years ago whereby somebody walked into the house up through the back garden which is along a private access drive at the rear of the property, my elderly parents were home at the time but fortunately came to no harm but is leaves you feeling very angry and frustrated that that this has happened.
