I have just spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to connect my Stageline to an output of a Flatcap XS to
see if it will improve the sound of my TT.
I have looked at all diagrams in the manuals for 152 XS, 155 XS, Flatcap XS and Stageline, I borrowed a
cable to connect Flatcap to 152 but when all was as the diagrams showed, the mute button on the 152
kept flashing.
I tried 155 to 152 Standard, 155 to Flatcap and single power to 152, nothing.
None of the diagrams show all of the components together - the 155 is consistently missing so if that needs
to be connected to the 152 I don't know which socket to use.
Can anyone help with a complete connection guide?

The flashing mute tells you there's something wrong, usually amissing link plug.
The preamp manual page E14 gives the connections for a flat cap and the 155 goes on the flatcap signal output next to the power out/signal input used for upgrade 2 of the 152. Connect the stageline to the AUX 2 (ALT) of the 152 to power it and take the signal. I would expect this arrangement to give the best result.
Assuming you've already managed that one and want to hear the stageline powered directly from the flatcap there are several possible arrangements but you will need one of the link plugs for the 152.
I'm assuming the stageline output returns by the Snaic taking power to it, is this the case with yours?
1 (this one is impied in the manual). Replace link plug two in the 152 but keep the upgrade 1 connected to the flatcap power out B (the one with the single signal output next to it). Connect the stageline to the flatcap power out A and the adjacent signal out to any input on the 152 except the AUX2(alt). The 155 connects to the socket labelled standard on the 152. This arrangement powers the preamp's control circuitry from the flatcap but the amp itself is powered from the 155 in this arrangement.
It may be possible to put link plug 1 in place, remove link 2 and feed the entire 152 from one output of the flatcap and use the other for the stageline but I'll leave itat that for the moment.

Thanks for your help on this. I am after powering the Stageline using one of the Flatcap output stages
but I havn't found a clear all-in-one diagram including link plugs. I got all the cables in place but
still had the flashing mute. I will have another go when I find the plugs.
