Naxo - can you tell which speakers it will drive using SN?

As above, there's a 4-2 one available for sale and I'd like to try it out with my SBL's. Correct me if i'm wrong, but is this essentially just a crossover that overrides use of those fitted to the rears of the sibbles? Thanks.
Yes - sits between your preamp and 2 stereo power amps. Each channel then feeds one driver directly.
Remember you'll need a Hicap to power the Naxo too.
Just a crossover that requires a power supply (HiCap for example) and extra power amplification (a pair of stereo amps or 4 mono amps) and extra speaker cabling.
Ok thanks gents. So would I need another Nap 250 for example also? I have one already and a hi-cap.
Yes - that would be best to have them matched but you could have it 'wonky' with a 250 on bass and something like a 140 on treble etc - didn't you have a Nap 100 which you could use ?
What are you driving it from Lewis - if a Naim preamp then you'll need a Cap for the Pre and one for the Naxo.

Thanks James. Yes, at the moment I have a 32.5, Hicap, and Nap 250. Would be interested to add a Naxo as long as I wouldn't need to spend lots more on other components!
I have a Nap 100 too but that's not being used at the moment but I don't want to sell it just yet as it's a great amp and relatively 'cheap' in the scheme of things.
Sound like you need the Naxo and another Hicap (or flatcap) to power it. Then use the 100 and 250. One thing to be aware of is how the outputs are configured on the Naxo which (IIRC) presume you have one amp per speaker so one channel for treble unit and other channel for the bass unit.
In your case you would need it so one amp did treble for both speakers and one amp did bass for both speakers (so you could use the 'wonky' amp setup of 100 / 250) so you'd either need to get the naxo internal wiring changed or have special cables made up.
At the limit of my knowledge of the Naxo here so hopefully someone can chime in who has this setup and can advise the best approach ![]()
James
PS - I'm sure there was a chap on here a while back with a brace of NAP100's as an active system driving SBL speakers.
FWIW search for a Naxo manual, maybe available via Naim website ?
As James said above, you would either need a 242 or a re-wired NAXO to run a 250 and 100 in an active setup. Having said that I would not wish to run two such disparate amps in an active setup. Nap 160/180/200 and NAP250 - maybe.
Ok thanks gentlemen. Annoyingly I missed out on it, but never mind. Is there a way to run 2 x 250's without a naxo or would this be required? I suppose there's no way of using the 250's as monos?

I guess you could try passive biamping while you look for another NAXO?
You can't passively bi-amp SBLs, only active bi-amp. You can run a pair of NAP250s just using one channel of each. But better to trade over to a pair of NAP135s - proper mono amps designed for the job and better performers overall.

Guess I should have known better, what with them being Naim speakers!!
