atom - unitiqute 2 - amplifier

Is a micromega pw400 (amplifier 8 ohm 200 W) a good combination with the unitiqute 2 or the coming Atom.
(micromega pw400 : demo 1000 euro)
I have not heard the Micromega so cannot comment on it specifically. It would seem more sensible, if you want what the Qute does but with more power, to get a SuperUniti. Alternatively, wait until you can hear an Atom with your chosen speakers, as you may find it sufficient for your needs. When I heard one it was capable of driving Focal Sopra 1s very loud indeed.
I use 250DR on unitiqute -- works fine
Wiwa, my first question to your post is "why?". I don't know the Micromega and I would be very surprised of anyone on here has tried this combination. If it's more power you desire then I can only echo HH's advice and suggest you consider a Superuniti (some nice ex dem and s/h deals out there) or look towards the forthcoming new Uniti range which sounded most impressive when I was the factory on tuesday. Whichever of these you choose, it's not just more power you'll be getting but upgrades all round - source, pre-section, architecture (in case of the new range) as well as power.

Did the MM amp choose your interest because of the 200w Class D" specification or price ?
1k eur will buy you a s/h Naim Nap 150x, 180 or maybe even an old 200 or 250 - they are not rated at 200w paperwatts though
Another point is the MicroMega is half price now, how much is this worth in say 4- 5 years ahead ? Can it be serviced ?
A S/h naim amp is often free or very near as prices keep up should you ever wish to sell on, indeed now watching the forthcoming priceincreases for new gear.
Personally I'd choose any Naim poweramp vs a MIcromega allthough TBH never heard them, so take it with a pinch of salt, only MM stuff I know was my old stage 3 cd player which broke down many moons ago with no support whatsoever.

So you think a Atom (with pmc twenty.5.23) can be powerful enough for a room of 36 M2. (than i can always upgrade later)
Surely you will demo the above combination. The only way to really know ?
Wiwa,
I have no idea whether they will be a good match I'm afraid. That's where a good dealer and a decent demo are so important.
