Calling North America: which magazine or website do you value for Classical music recommendations?

Open question to any Classical buffs:

since the cessation of publication of both the Gramophone and Penguin Classical guides several years ago I've felt the loss of a valuable resource for finding best recordings or performances of a given piece.

Both these guides were UK based and many of the authors worked on both guides. Im curious to know if there are any equivalent authoritative guides available in other Countries? Those two guides were also, rightly or wrongly, sometimes criticised for having a European, and especially a U.K. bias in their choices, so it would be additionally interesting to get some fresh recommendations from a different angle if possible.

So, I'm wondering if any forumites can recommend equivalent good sources of guidance available in the English language? For the language reason I'm thinking North America is most likely, but if anyone elsewhere has ideas of any sources I'd be be all ears too.

I routinely go to classicstoday.com and classical.net along with whatever else I may find like, say, on Amazon, Presto  Classical in the UK and the occasional web log.
