Good luck on your retirement Paul.  It can't have been easy keeping a brand true to itself over all those years whilst continuing to bring out new and exciting products.  It wasn't the Olive or Classic series that brought me into the Naim fold but a humble Qute 2 that has lead, and continues to lead to better things just as the Muso and QB etc will do for thousands of new Naimees.  Congratulations on what you have been able to achieve.  I hope you will occaisonally pop up on here in future, I have enjoyed your input on some of the more contentious threads over the years.  Best wishes and good luck.

Paul was his usual mickey-taking self in his goodbye 'address' but Roy seemed almost in tears ... an awesome leader and figurehead over the years!

While I would echo what has been said here and on the other thread about Paul's contribution to the success of Naim, I would suggest that, while technical/musical qualities of the Naim brand are vital, equally important is the cultural ethos of the company. In an odd way most Naim users do, I think,  feel almost a part of the Naim family. That this has continued all these years has to be largely due Paul himself. Long may it continue...

An old Naimee across the pond wishing you well in your retirement Mr Paul Stephenson, and a big thank you.

Wow, what a career! I first discovered Naim in my teens. I wandered into a little hole in the wall in New York and heard a tiny little box making great sounds. I remember wondering what "Naim" stood for, maybe yiddish for "voice" or something? I couldn't afford the little "Nait" the guy said it was, so I tucked the "Naim" in the back of my mind and many years and paychecks later, found that voice again and have been listening to it since. To think back that long ago and realize you were not only there, but had been there for years at that point is to realize just how far you and Naim have come.  Thanks for the products and for keeping the faith, Mr. Stephenson. You have my admiration. Retire with pride, baby!

It's been a journey and an adventure, I'm sure  - but the results speak to a passion for something well beyond fancy boxes, software and hardware that has always made this company unique, human and exceptional. Enjoy your retirement, Paul, as I'm sure you will, having now reached the inner groove!

In an era of bland mass production, with modelling and engineering practice driving out inspiration and creativity in so many areas of industry, you and all the team at Naim have managed to navigate the company through all the myriad of blind alleys and not only achieve a thoroughly well engineered portfolio of products, but also pulled of that most amazing of tricks - to keep the magic in the music at the same time.

A wonderful achievement and a credit to Great Britain!

Most people refer to Statement as being Steve Sells' baby.  While that is true, we should all remember that this was developed under Paul's watch.  I imagine the research costs were astronomic so I'd like to also thank Paul for the courage to back and see such an ambitious project through to its end.  Of course we're still seeing the trickle down from that which is great news for the majority for whom Statement is out of their reach.

Thank you Paul, you work has enriched many many people's lives!
