Olive preamp upgrade.

Hi I now have my Credo's active. Nac 92 with Flatcap, 2xNap 90s, and a newly serviced and recapped CDS1.

l now think I'll get my 92 recapped, then trade it in at a later date for a for a Nac72 .I will then get that serviced and recapped.

I will then trade I'm my Flatcap for a Hicap then get that serviced.

hopefuly that will satisfy my upgrade need for a while. My wife hopes forevermore, (no chance)

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't bother getting your current gear serviced, just go for the new preamp. That in itself is a bit of a lottery, as there's always a chance that an old box has been tampered with, so I would concentrate my resources on that.

You don't say which crossover you have, but if it's the Ixo then a hicapped snaxo is a lot better. Bear in mind also that a 72, Hicap and 250 will be better than active 90s.

Don't bother recapping the 92.  It'll cost you almost as much as a used 72 and you'll never get the cost of the recap out of the 92 when you go to sell it.
