Sorry I didn't Catch your NAIM

Posted by: DUPREE on 18 December 2016

Is there anywhere you can get one of these posters? I think it would look very swell framed in my listening room :-)?  The Your Nobody without a Naim would be sweet too..

Who is the person in the first phot, and who's shop front did they use for the second?

Since you have the images, could you have them enlarged to re-create the posters size if not currently available from Naim;  copyright permitted of course. Maybe Paul could advise on this.

Graham, as Naim presumably still own the copyright (and certainly own the Naim logo trademark), it's a question best posed to them, should you wish to ask permission to have them re-created.

I would print it out or have it printed professionally but I don't think any of the versions online are of high enough resolution. I would also rather find/buy a genuine one as it would be more authentic.

Thanks Richard,

I was posing a possible solution to Dupree in order to obtain the poster images.

They don't appear to be on sale from Naim's web site as they once were.

I likewise would love to have the first one...

In fact, even glossy photos of suitable frame-able (or is it Fraim-able?) size would be nice too.

Graham, they used to be available so perhaps worth asking Naim if there are any left hidden away in stores.

I think that they would look great and are both historic and represent pride of ownership for a iconic product line.. I personally have been looking on eBay and would look good in a lot of people's listening rooms

Does anyone know the year these posters were produced?

Going on the trainers and the Farah Fawcett hair, 1978.

Mid 80s over a period of about 3 years - with 3 calendars I think.

Do you recognise the naim box in the picture? Was it a new model at the time?

I wonder how much they would fetch at auction these days?.

One went for  £102.00 in 2005.

I did think the jeans looked a bit eighties and that her shirt cuffs have a touch of the Lady Di.

Presumably different Naim boxes on each month of the calendar?  As opposed to scantily clothed ladies?

The chap in the 1st photo runs a small recording studio in London, not sure where the photo was taken ?

Hi Paul

Is there a link on the naim website / Naim store where the posters can be bought ?

I clicked on the naim Store link but couldnt find any link to lead me to these or other collectibles.

I like the first one.. and in a frame of about 12 by 12 inch ... would look good on my wall.

regards

these pictures are very cool, and iconic too - a classic in their own right.

I asked my naim retailer in Sydney about these a year ago and nothing came of it, wanted the ARO also.

Naim should make them available to order.

Thanks, Richard. Not seen those 4 pictures before.

I do remember the calendars which Paul S mentions - and he should know. They were free with a HiFi mag - not sure which one. Great shame I scrapped mine.
