Sorry I didn't Catch your NAIM
Posted by: DUPREE on 18 December 2016
Is there anywhere you can get one of these posters? I think it would look very swell framed in my listening room :-)? The Your Nobody without a Naim would be sweet too..

Sorry, no.
C.
Wouldn't swear to it , but I think it was a NAP250.

Is there a link on the naim website / Naim store where the posters can be bought ?
I clicked on the naim Store link but couldnt find any link to lead me to these or other collectibles.
I like the first one.. and in a frame of about 12 by 12 inch ... would look good on my wall.
regards
There definitely used to be on the Naim web site under merchandise.
Doesn't look as though they sell merchandise anymore.
I remember the one with Julian Vereker, "Naim makes exceedingly good Naits" .
Correction : Mr. Vereker not Naim.
Some pics on the Naim web site under "Why Naim " >"Our Story"
I have been asking about these posters before, I would most definitely buy one. I really like the ''sorry I didn't catch your Naim'' one.
Perhaps Naim could allow some of the dealers the rights to do a re-isuue, would be great for an enthusiasts listening room
I wonder if Naim could be tempted to produce a limited run? I saw a couple of framed examples in the Tom Tom Audio showroom in St Albans a while back but they were firmly not for sale. I also missed out on that eBay auction!

Hello Dupree, Didn't realise you were in Chicago. The posters are in England. My last post to you seems to have broken some rule as it has disappeared. The posters are being sold by a Naim dealer so I don't know what is wrong.
Tony, I've sent you an email.
I don’t think Tony’s attempt to help someone out for something that is clearly not an equipment sale required a response of that tone or condissention.

Thanks Dupree. Sorry I can't help you. I will buy both of them myself.
Looks like there should be another rule made. Would have been better if he had stopped your post in the first place.
So, did Naim pay any royalties for using said choc bar and drink in their ads?
I assume Naim owns the original artwork. Perhaps they could offer it for download if there are no plans to offer the posters for sale. At least that way we could print our own.
Offer posters for download, what a good idea, a parting gift from Paul perhaps?
What about producing the posters as acoustic panels?
I have always thought the 'I'm sorry I did not catch your Naim' to be one of the best ad copy I have seen.
Ironically, last week a manufacturer's rep for a professional British amp line was in our office. We got to talking hifi as many acoustic consultants do and he remember this ad when I told him I have Naim gear.
Here in the States there are acoustic panel manufacturers that offer custom digital photo copying of images on acoustic panels. This has been used on a few of our projects.
Long time stalker of these parts but as this poster has not been featured in the thread so far, I thought I would share another piece of classic Naim advertising. It's part of a pair (the other one i have is "I'm Sorry....), both got many years ago when putting together my CB/Olive system.

"The Naim of the Game" not mentioned yet..
Scrabble board with a an odd looking bloke sitting in a park...

These are from my ' 85 calendar i still own along with 250 chocolate box.
I also came along with this one on Tom Tom Audio pages

I' m pretty much sure he's Alex Montenegro. An Anglo Italian guy . He was a huge Linn- Naim enthusiast who also wrote many brilliant reviews for Italian magazine Superstereo. I kenw him at Milan Audio Fair in Sept. ' 84

Roberto
Presumably, Naim will own the copyright to these images so they should listen to their customers and make them available in their merchandise section on their site. After all, their official repair centres are happy enough to take our money to have kit of the same vintage repaired or overhauled so why not a poster from the same vintage?
Better still, how about a free poster or T shirt dished out by said centre as a Naim 'Thank you' for spending your money with them and keeping the vintage kit alive and well... A small price surely, for loyal support of the brand.
Alex worked for naim for a couple years in an export role, he did a great job.

Brilliant idea, plus add a free black box of one's choice ![]()

Hi Paul,
He was really a nice guy, i met him in Milan at my very beginning of my Naim adventure with a 42/110 combo
He also had a close relationship with Mr. Antonio Trebbi of Audiotech and Vanino Spinelli of Audiograffiti.
Have you an idea where is living or doing now ?
Regards
Roberto
Exactly Roberto part of the old Italian story which I am very fond of and remain good friends with all, sadly I have not heard from Alex since he moved to the States some years ago.
Hi Paul,
Very nice memories for me too ! The early days at Milano fairs wth Audiotech crew and you at Milan Top Audio.
I still remember the preview in 1987 of Nac 52 and a teaser preview of the Aro tonearm at Top Audio hotel in '88
Regards
Roberto
