In what seems like an endless, if fun, search for new speakers I've come across the Dali Fazon F5 and I love the looks. However, they will be a pain to audition, so before I start making an effort does anyone have experience of them?
I'd almost settled on Focal Electra 1008be, but we have a hyperactive beagle and after what is being referred to as "The Incident with the Christmas Tree" I have had to rule out standmounted speakers. Current kit is a Uniti2, but the plan is to add a 250DR next year.

Hi,
I loved the looks too when I was searching for new speakers. In my opinion the looks had to compensate the sound quality. I was very disappointed by them while auditioning with my Uniti2. Very flat sound and no depth in the low region.
If you are interested, I ended up with something that does not look very pretty, but sounds great on the Uniti2: Martin Logan ESL's.
Good luck,
Peter.

The Dali Fazon f5, make quite a statement, the reviews seem very positive.... but ultimately if you are seriously considering them you do need to have firstly a dealer dem, and if that goes well follow up with a home audition... alternatively as you suggest the focal range is very strong, but I would suggest spending time drawing up a short list, and going through the same process.....at the end of the day it's your ears and your money...
