New year Hi Fi resolutions

New year resolutions tend to be with reference to curbing ones excesss'...
But I have decided, to NOT Curb my upgrade spending habits in the new year.
So my new year resolution is to purchase two new racks and possibly upgrade my speaker cables....
So what might be your new year hifi resolutions?
Promised myself to get D2D LP but my family did not bulge.... Got new socks instead, so its up to me to check what my Sondek/Aro/Armageddon are capable of... So far they beat my digital front-end and bad seats at LA Opera ;-)
I heard the cables up to the insane level of costs. And I found the Vodka the righ VFM proposition....

I assume you are referring to ethernet cables?
I have made a resolution - not to demonstrate a 552 in my system.
I don't have any upgrades planned this year, so will be focussing on expanding my music collection and enjoying what I have. I probably listen to less than 10% of my existing collection on a regular basis, so also need to avoid playing safe and give some less familiar material a spin.
Happy New Year everyone!
Dave.

Ditto!
I am intending to add a Lingo at least to my LP12 and whatever else I can manage to afford. Oh and to add as much as I can of whatever I don't have on vinyl by Dire Straights and Mark Knoppler, anything else will be a bonus.
Happy New Year to everyone.
To worry less about gear and more about music.

I tried that one for 2016, unfortunately it lasted until end of February...... On the plus side, in hifi terms, it's been a brilliant year ![]()

5 years? It's not going to happen, tell yourself 6 months, it's a more realistic target.. ![]()

Not to reply and ignore anything related to PC, PT and SW, hard as it may be!

?
Since I managed to go for the whole of 2016 without a single hi-fi purchase (but lots of CDs - hurrah!), I might just about be able to convince the Finance Committee that I need to get the 202 and 200 back to Salisbury for their very long-overdue services.
If I'm feeling brave, I might enquire about getting the 200 DR-d whilst it's there, especially if it turns out to be cheaper than upgrading to a 250.

Getting the 200 dr-d is definitely going to be cheaper then buying a 250dr, but with a good trade in deal, it just might be the time to go for it....?

You can't have a DR upgrade on a 200. Its DR spec only applies to the preamp PSU in it. Maybe a HicapDR would be worth considering?
Ebor, you can upgrade to a 200dr, or if funds allow the 250dr..
