NAC N272 problem

Posted by: yurivv on 06 January 2017

Hi all,

I seem to be having trouble with my NAC N272. It's connected to the mains using a Powerline cable + a link plug. Each time I turn on the pre-amp, the following message appears:

Two PSUs
Unplug. Wait 10 mins.

Pressing the buttons won't help.

Looking forward to any advice on this.

Try doing a factory reset. If that won't work, contact Naim. It does sound very strange. Once it's  fixed, leave it switched on - it will sound better.

Thanks, but it won't do. According to the manual, you can only do a factory reset via the main menu, which I'm unable to access. The device simply hangs up as soon as I turn it on.

Back to the factory I'm afraid unless your dealer has a fix.

I wonder whether the Link plug isn't quite seated properly so that the internals think there is an XPS about to be connected (which is when you would normally get that message if you still have mains directly to the 272.  So I suggest take the link plug out and put it back in again firmly.

best

David

Yuri, I've flagged it for Tech Support, so hopefully Phil will pick this one up and post.

You haven't got a power source such as a XPS DR plugged in as well?

Not if the link plug is in use.
