Cds3 parts or repair if required

Posted by: Alan johnson on 07 January 2017

sent naim an email but I imagine they are closed over the weekend.

cds3 if I were to buy one sh how readily available are the parts for repair if something went amiss not just next year but say for the next 10 ?

Alan, it's a question best answered by Naim, and then I imagine it would be a best estimate as of today - I.e no guarantees in years hence, as many parts cannot be restocked once exhausted.

And yes, Naim is closed over the weekend so you will have to wait until Monday at the earliest for a response.

Im confident cds3 servicing and spare parts will be good for years to come. Naim could service a cds1 for many years after they stopped producing them. For the cds2 it was even longer. 12 years ?  I think it was only recently that they cannot not now replace cds2 mechs , but can still do the lasers. To be confirmed. Considering that the mech/laser that is now fitted to the cds3 is same as current production cdx2.2 then years and years away.

I think that Naims ability to keep old ex production high end cd players going is second to none in the industry. Why Im happy to keep and enjoy my cds3 for many years to come.

I received an email from naim stating they can change the mech if required to a vam1202

so all seems good
