Atom now delayed until May?

if this is true Naim, it simply is not good enough!
ChetBaker posted:While I am very disappointed with this significant delay, there is a silver lining. Those of us who, like me, preordered and paid the deposit in 2016 will get their new Uniti at a considerable discount relative to the RRP in May/June, especially if Naim again raise their prices in April. If it hadn't been for this, i might have cancelled my pre-order and bought a used unitilite or superuniti instead.
So just the two price increases between "launch" and when we see the product!!!
Naim ain't the only game in town, they still have to compete. You can always go elsewhere if you can do better. There's plenty of people using Chord DACs for instance. If you're buying a Uniti it won't be going in an existing system so another flavour might suit taste or pocket better or make a nice change if its a second system you're after.
Sure there are other options but, apart from a used Kiko, what else is there in the all-in-one streamer/dac/amp space for around 1700 quid? This annual price raise game is what is making me hold on to my pre-order. Wouldn't be surprised if the Atom is around 2000 pounds come May.
