What's the TT?

Just seen a clip of La La Land and was curious about the TT. Classic A&R TT if not mistaken?!

AR Turntable. With Linn Basik Plus arm maybe? Cart, no chance.

The cartridge look like a Decca super gold ![]()
Chris,
Yes, definitely an AR but not sure about the Linn arm because of what appears to be a "cursor" on the arm.
Fair enough, I wondered about that too, Tony. Perhaps it's some tweaker-friendly, after market clip-on thing.

La La Land has been recommended to be avoided by any means possible. Thanks.
TJ,
I have no intention of watching the movie and I'm not into musicals. If people enjoy that sort of stuff, it's their choice. I was just, still am, curious about the TT as it was as good as an LP12 in some aspects.
Cat, I don't think that is a Decca. More likely an Audio Technica but the model is anyone's guess.
The TT is a motorcycle race event on the Isle of Man. Oh, wrong forum - the TT is Chord's uprated 'table top' development of the Hugo DAC. But I can't see one in the picture - just a keyboard and a ...turntable.
Oh, brother. There's always one! Grow up!
Hmmm, not sure which is least grown up, making a lighthearted joke after the original quastion appears to have been answered, or spending time studying a frame from a film one doesn't like, trying to work out what turntable featured in it...
I'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume we're all children at heart (whether in first or second childhood I leave others to determine...)

i would have rather seen a movie about the turntable.
I like it, this makes train spotting very passé ![]()
I spotted what looked like a decent turntable in "Indecent Proposal" - think it was a high end VPI model.
Simon where all Hi-fi anoraks.....Well Iam.First I thought Tony's post was about the Chord TT

Having watched (most) of the film, I would agree with whoever it was who gave you that recommendation.
The most favourable comment I could make about it is that it is inoffensive. However, a couple of people who watched it with me really liked it, so I wouldn't necessarily go along with my recommendation.
Can't really see it appealing to Black Sabbath fans!
One of my friends had AR TT with Linn Basic arm. It was easily out performed by my Rega Planar 3 / RB 300 , back in those days.

I know which one I'd choose!![]()
