IMF TLS 50-2 speakers I bought now in about 1975, were my main speakers for 15 years or so, then my brother-in-law's, now back in my house playing beutifully in my son's bedroom.

Until almost a year ago my answer would have been IMF RSPM speakers circa 1970 that I had from about 1990 to last year, now gone to bpmy brother-in-law...

Revox B77 for me too. Been fully serviced a couple of times, and could do with another, plus the nextel needs stripping off and new applied. Waiting to see if the new HorchHouse/Revox machine happens before I commit myself.

Funny !? - Revox A77 - had since new in 1978

Last night, burning smell, now not working, I suspect burned out capacitors.

first problem with it in nearly 40 years !!!

Common fault - normally to do with a mains smoothing capacitor. They're known to go bang and emit smoke Quick and inexpensive fix though.

The oldest piece of kit I have in reasonably regular use is an early Revox 77A (A77 Mk1) 2 track from 1967.  There's a fair bit of kit that's older, particularly the old Quad stuff and some valve amps, but they're not really in regular use, so possibly don't qualify here.

Jon, very interesting did have to go back to Steinway in New York only asking as they had a programme about Steinway Piano's on TV many years ago showing how they made them and the process to get the superb finish. The workmanship was incredible.

Rega Planar 3 from 1980 with RB100, RB200 and AT head shell. Unserviced, unmodified (apart from the dealer fitted head shell) and still working.

Linn LP12 from 1983.  Of course, the only bit that is original is the turntable itself.  Everything else slowly upgraded, and about to have further upgrades to Radikal/Urika/Keel next week.

My Spendor BC1s (1975) are still being used by my brother, Bernard.

I still use a Sota Sapphire, a Nait2 and a MD Etude. All bought new around 25 years ago and no repairs needed except for a few turntable drive belts. Thinking about a Nait rebuild service at the moment but i'm afraid it would change the sound i'm addicted to.

Oh dear, the Gales were in my mega-audition back in 1975 when I got my first IMFs - but I didn't like the sound of them at all, not getting past the first listen.

As they say, there's no accounting for taste!

Innocent bystander. ...i also sold the IMF TLS50 , also a fantastic speaker and at the time beyond my budget. Didnt stop me selling plenty of IMF speakers.as well as Gale, Audiomaster, Monitor Audio, Tannoy,  Kef, Griffin, JR, Castle,B&W, Mordant Short etc etc....the heady days of British hifi , lots of Quad, Sugden, Lecson, Armstrong amps, along with various Japanese makes. Fave turntables were LP12 with Grace & Supex, and Colin Walkers , cant recal what it was calĺed.

Technically not hi-fi, this AM radio from 1946 gets regular use in my listening room. My previous receivers always included tuners and since going to Naim gear I wanted to maintain a connection with AM radio for news and sporting events. This General Electric Model 201 is an example of early post-war modern plastics and styling. The swirled case is lovely (despite my photography) and the lighted dial is a warm beacon in a dark room. The bright brass speaker grill is a classy accent. The internal loop antenna provides great reception, albeit with some drift and fade at nighttime. It's somehow comforting for me to have tubes in the listening room - maybe a nice link to past and simpler times. Most visitors are surprised to find it's over 70 years old. When they ask to hear it, most are perplexed at the minute or so delay between power-up and sound.
