Snaic upgrade

does naim have a SL snaic as an upgrade for the standard snaic that would connect a 52 to supercap or connect an 01 power supply to the 01 head unit?  Also has anyone discovered another snaic manufacturer that would be an upgrade over the naim snaic in either of these Olive setups?  Obviously din-din only for Olive boxes.  Just some idle curiousity on this nice winter afternoon here in New York.

Hi David. Greetings from the U.K.  Naim don't have any alternative Snaic cables. Others do exist, but I don't think we're allowed to discuss them.

Hi David,

As I understand it Naim doesn't have a SNAIC upgrade and Forum rules prohibit discussion about 3rd party alternatives.

The SL cables were part of the Statement project, and the Statement doesn't need snaics. And, all SL cables are signal cables, whereas snaics are not.

If you have earlier grey SNAICs then upgrading to the later black ones is a very worthwhile upgrade.  Apart from that, stay well away from fake "SNAICs", discussion of which anyway falls outside of forum AUP.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the snaic was in the context of 52/PS was for the digital power supply 

so a super duper cable made from materials from the fashionable end of the periodic table would serve to make my remote control control better

Sorry Richard, but just surprised that Naim hasn't upgraded this cable even though all other cables,in the loom have been upgraded (and yes I get that Statement doesn't need a snaic).         

Anyway, back to my bit of Olive heaven....

A deep cryo Snaic (a la AV Options) may be just the Snaic upgrade you need, without dabbling with 3rd party ones.

my point was, is there any point in upgrading this cable, as I said earlier, my understanding is that this cable is the digital power supply i.e. The remote control

The Snaic that feeds the digital/logic part of a preamp makes a tremendous difference to the performance of the (2)52 and 552. But 'upgrading' within the product line of a single compatible Snaic is really not an option, unless you are using a very old gray Snaic, or are willing to pursue the tweakery of a deep cryo'd one that is available from a sanctioned source. Neither of which lessens the fact that it is as least as important as the interconnects from the Supercap/552PS to the power amps-which have a much wider choices.
