Reversing the perspective... (with notable thanks to Wonko)

Given the current state of the world and my feelings towards it... can I suggest that the padding is removed from the cell, and is reassembled on the outside of the cell, therefore turning the former "Padded Cell" into a small refuge from the asylum of the world.

Wonko the Sane had the right idea, Douglas Adams must be smiling down on us.
